John Keller
John Keller, a transfer from Garden City Community College, chose the right year to join the Kansas Jayhawks. In 1952, Keller earned captain honors in the same year the Jayhawks won the Big 7 conference championship. The same year, Keller aided the Jayhawks on the way to the National Championship. The Great Bend, Kansas native provided the Jayhawks two points and four rebounds in the game. Keller then represented the U.S. in the 1952 Olympics games and took home a gold medal.
